While Bush and all the other rulers of foreign nations discuss war out there with thier "silver spoons in hand" it's us the real people of these countries that suffer while they sit around playing fucking battle ship. All I know is that all this is silly. There's no excuse for violence. So much for being civilized.

An Indiana mother recently accompanied her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend to one of Indiana's Planned Parenthood clinics, but they unwittingly walked into a so-called "crisis pregnancy center" run by an anti-abortion group, one that shared a parking lot with the real Planned Parenthood clinic and was designed expressly to lure Planned Parenthood patients and deceive them.

The group took down the girl's confidential personal information and told her to come back for her appointment, which they said would be in their "other office" (the real Planned Parenthood office nearby). When she arrived for her appointment, not only did the Planned Parenthood staff have no record of her, but the police were there. The "crisis pregnancy center" had called them, claiming that a minor was being forced to have an abortion against her will.

The "crisis pregnancy center" staff then proceeded to wage a campaign of intimidation and harassment over the following days, showing up at the girl's home and calling her father's workplace. Planned Parenthood's clinic director reports that the girl was "scared to death to leave her house." They even went to her school and urged classmates to pressure her not to have an abortion.

The anti-choice movement is setting up these "crisis pregnancy centers" across the country. Some of them have neutral-sounding names and run ads that falsely promise the full range of reproductive health services, but they dispense anti-choice propaganda and intimidation instead. And according to a recent article in The New York Times, there are currently more of these centers in the U.S. than there are actual abortion providers. What's more, these centers have received $60 million in government grants. They're being funded by our tax dollars.

A bill has just been introduced in Congress to stop the fraudulent practices of fake clinics, but it desperately needs more support. Tell your representative to take a stand: anti-choice extremists must not get away with this any longer!

Life is Funny

Went to St Augustine - It was amazing fun. Took some great pics

Left St Augustine - Got into a major Car accident that was my fault b/c I suddenly blacked out while driving and rearended into a car.

The air bag hit my chest and face at 200 miles per hour - I feel like I was beaten to a pulp by someone.

B/c of bike week AAA was too busy so we couldn't get towed to Orlando but after to hours of waiting alone once the police left we got towed to a hotel.

That hotel was full b/c of Bike Week so we had to walk to another hotel. That hotel only had one room which was the suite. That cost 250.00 dollars for just one night.

Had to wake up early this morning to wait to be towed here to Orlando.

So I have no car, 3 midterms due this week, 2 quizes, have to wake up at 6am to go to work, and have to go to the docter b/c my chest still hurts.

So yeah life is funny.

Hello Day Side,
I have never sent an email to your show before but I felt a need to do so today. I'm emailing you in reference to the political cartoon with the soldier from the Washington Post. This cartoon is highly political but not meant to be insultive. Your speaker was highly over the top and obviously ill read. Anyone could clearly see that the image in the cartoon is based on the anti-war novel "Johnny Got His Gun" by Dalton Trumbo. I don't see why soldiers would be insulted by this because the entire reasoning of the novel is protecting our soldiers while sending an anti war message. Wealthy politicians have no right to comment because it's not their sons or daughters whom are fighting this "children's crusade" as Kurt Vonnegut rightly refers to war in his novel "Slaughter House Five". When their sons and daughters leave their privileged lives to fight with real hero's like my friends then maybe they can have the audacity to speak. The fact is that this war was a mistake and we need to bring our soldiers home. We insist on fighting wars to "fix" other countries without realizing that we are merely sacrificing a life for another life. Let us help our homeless and our suffering before we go fix others. This cartoon and others are meant to inform citizens whom are scarcely informed. The news media was once a check on our government but now it is so consumed by monetary gain that it merely tip toes over reality. Let us first become the change that we seek in others. Today, Tuesday Dec. 6th, as Congress returns from Thanksgiving break, many representatives are examining and changing their position on Iraq. They've seen the polls showing that most of America wants our troops home1, and they've read the articles with military and foreign policy experts saying a responsible exit makes sense.

Today, every one of them needs to hear a steady, day-long avalanche of phone calls to get out of Iraq in '06. Will you call?
